You’re probably wondering, “Who’s invading my newsfeed?” Hi. I’m Michelle Vaeth. I’ve been working at the Ste. Genevieve Rhodes 101 location for 14 years, and customers make me enjoy my job as Operations Manager. Customers like Herman Kraenzie, who is a sweet man that’s farmed all his life and has been married 60 years. And, the customers that wished me “Happy Birthday” when my District Manager put a sign on the store’s front door telling them to do so, unbeknownst to me of course. Thanks a lot, Traci.
Just like my work life is about others, so is my home life. I grew up as one of nine children, and my mom raised us herself. It’s no wonder I’ve always looked up to her as my role model; she taught us kids to appreciate each other without having many material things. If I could make three wishes that would be granted, I’d use them all to help my husband, kids and siblings be healthy and live comfortably. Although, my husband would probably divorce me if I won $100,000 dollars – he’d be upset that I shared it with my eight siblings. All joking aside, I love telling stories and jokes that make people laugh.
Before I let you get back to your day, give me a moment to make you laugh at me. I’d like Melissa McCarthy to play me if my life is ever turned into a movie because she’s very funny. If I was on a football team, I’d like to be the coach, particularly of the Rams’ coach because they would get some chewing out time. And, if given the chance, I’d peel a band aid off any of my siblings slowly and deliberately rather than quickly and swiftly like I do my own!
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. If you’re ever in the Ste. Genevieve Rhodes 101, I’ll be glad to serve you!
