Hi, I’m Mike Brown, the Technology Manager at PAJCO (the company that owns Rhodes, Imo’s Pizza locations and Rally’s Drive-Ins).  I am one of several PAJCO employees who worked many, many years in their field before making a career transition to the PAJCO Office.

I joined PAJCO in June 2020.  I believe it was fate that brought me to PAJCO.  To be honest, I wasn’t looking for a job change, but before coming here, I had a sense that I needed something different.  I knew Duane Statler, Vice President of Information Systems at PAJCO, for many years.  He reached out to me one day and asked me to stop by and meet some of the people who worked there.  Eventually, a number of things convinced me to join PAJCO including it’s a family-oriented business, it’s based in a town that I grew up in and I knew I wouldn’t be just a number in a large corporation.

Since joining PAJCO, I’ve grown a huge appreciation for the complexity of its technology and respect for the convenience store and restaurant business processes.  I’ve been working in the IT field for 30 years starting at my college and then as a technician at Six Flags over Mid-America and eventually bringing me back to this area with a local manufacturer where I stayed for 25 years.  Through all those years, I have continuously taken courses to help educate myself and grow in my profession.  Taking all that under consideration, I have still learned a lot in my short time at PAJCO, and I continue to learn the retail side of the business.

Yes, the work I’ve been given at PAJCO has been exciting and thrilling for me as a professional.  Above that, I have realized I enjoy the people I get to work with more than anything.  All the people I have met work hard and play harder.  It has been great to meet and work with everyone so far, and I look forward to meeting even more.  I really enjoyed PAJCO’s recent President’s Club banquet that they host each year.  I was able to see and talk to people that I don’t normally get to see.  It was a chance to “cut loose” and have a good time with everyone.

I don’t intend to work anywhere else and plan to retire from PAJCO in the next 15 years or so.  I will continue to give all I can and help make the business successful.  For that reason, I would invite anyone to consider joining the Rhodes team.  I believe everyone is treated with respect at PAJCO.  If you work hard here, you will be rewarded.  Visit www.Rhodes101.com to learn more about career opportunities at Rhodes and to submit an application.

Duane Statler, PAJCO’s Vice President of Information Systems, had this to say about Mike Brown, “Mike came to PAJCO after spending many years of his technology life in the manufacturing industry.  His excitement in wanting to learn our industry, willingness to tackle new adventures and his calm and reassuring demeanor will continue to help our team be better prepared for the future.”
